Your Chosen Pathway - Walkways & Driveways with Pavers
Published Date: Oct 14, 2013
"The Road Not Taken" is a beloved poem by Robert Frost that includes two of the most famous lines in literature – Two roads diverged in a wood, and I – I took the one less traveled by. While we assign our own meaning to these lines, the visual of a paving stone walkway may certainly come to mind. Whether you are starting anew or redoing well-worn driveways and walkways, the ‘less traveled by’ shouldn’t mean you and your guests have avoided walking that way for a reason. Is it time to upgrade or forge a new path in your yard?
If your walkway or driveway could use a boost of curb appeal, ask yourself a few key questions:
• Are you looking for a basic get-me-there approach or are you thinking of something more attractive while still being practical? These questions can first be answered in the type of material you choose. With so many options to choose from: brick, concrete, gravel, flagstone, asphalt, etc., it can be hard to pick one you like that is beautiful, durable, and affordable at the same time.
• Where do you turn for help, what product will help your project be unique while making a statement of beauty and durability? Paving stones are a timeless product that has been used over and over again to add curb appeal and classic beauty to homes just like yours. Interlocking pavers used on driveways and walkways alike endure all types of weather - varying from extreme heat to freezing snow and ice. It’s hard to beat the intrinsic beauty, color, and pattern variations found in paving stones for a unique approach.
• What is the best way to enjoy your walkways late at night while ensuring safety and visibility? Consider an integrated outdoor lighting system to help light the way while showing off your beautiful paving stone masterpiece. LED light features give you immediate energy savings and by integrating a Color Rendering Index into your light source, variations in color shades and movement become much more clear.
With all the great options in materials, color, quality, and pricing there need never be a reason for your walkways to be the ones less traveled. You can be proud of your path as the beautiful and unique niche in the road that others want to explore.
