• How much weight can a deck support?

  A composite deck supports at least 40 pounds per a square foot, which means it can easily support all of your furniture, a hot tub, or heavy fire pit.

• Is there a size requirement for a decking project?

  No! There is no minimum or maximum when it comes to decks. We can customize your deck to fit your home and lifestyle. 

• Are composite decks stain resistant?

  Yes, our composite decking will resist most spills. Mustard, ketchup, and beverages will easily wipe away. More stubborn stains can be washed off with the proper cleaner.

• Can I paint my composite deck?

  No, there is not a need to stain or paint your composite deck as they come already tinted. In fact, stains and paints will not adhere to composite decking. 

• How long does a wood deck typically last vs. a composite deck?

  Typically wood decks last around 10-15 years, while a composite deck typically lasts a minimum of 25-30 years. 

• Is composite decking safe around pools, pets, and kids?

  Absolutely. Our composite decking stays cooler to the touch than traditional materials, making it comfortable for bare feet even on hot days. The textured surface provides excellent traction when wet, which makes it ideal around pools.

• Does composite decking get hot in the sun?

  Our composite decking is designed with heat-reducing technology that keeps the surface significantly cooler than traditional wood or PVC options. While any decking material will absorb some heat in direct sunlight, the advanced composition of our composite decking boards minimizes this effect. You'll be able to walk barefoot comfortably throughout the day.

  For areas with intense sun exposure, we can recommend lighter color options that reflect more heat. 

• Can I add in features like lighting, pergolas, or seating to my composite deck?

• Does System Decking™ come with a warranty?

  Yes! All System Decking™ installations are backed by our comprehensive warranty. We offer a limited 10-year workmanship warranty on composite decking installations, which means if our installation doesn't meet our quality specifications within that timeframe, we'll repair or replace it at our expense. 

  The composite decking materials themselves also come with manufacturer warranties that protect against fading, staining, and structural issues. We stand behind every project we complete because we believe in the quality of what we build. • How long does it take to complete a deck installation?

  The composite decking installation timeline depends on the size and complexity of your project. A smaller, straightforward deck will naturally be completed faster than a larger custom design with multiple levels or integrated features.
