Join System Pavers and Komen Puget Sound for Race for the Cure®
On Sunday June 7, starting at 8 a.m., thousands of runners, walkers and families will gather at Seattle Center with a collective hope of ending breast cancer through the Susan G. Komen Puget Sound Race for the Cure®. Hundreds of breast cancer survivors will take part in the Race’s survivor celebration, an inspiring, heartwarming and exceptionally pink tradition at the event. Also part of this year’s Race is a kids’ run and – for the first time – a dedicated walk for (accompanied) dogs. Race for the Cure is Komen Puget Sound’s single largest fund raising opportunity. Seventy-five percent of net funds raised are invested into community grants that provide under-served women with support for breast cancer early detection, patient navigation and financial support for basic needs while undergoing treatment. The remaining twenty-five percent goes directly to fund research to better diagnose, treat and ultimately cure breast cancer.
