23rd Annual Susan G. Komen Colorado Race for the Cure® in Denver, CO

Flooding the streets with pink pride, Susan G. Komen Colorado hosts their annual Race for the Cure to support the fight against breast cancer. On Sunday, September 28, 2014, The System Pavers team of Design Consultants, Field Supervisors and families will join more than 40,000 participants at the Pepsi Center in Denver, Colorado to celebrate and support the lives of those affected by breast cancer. Funds raised by System Pavers and other participants helps to support the research for breast cancer and breast health. Colorado alone, has a higher incident rate of breast cancer than the national average and 1 in 7 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer at some point during their lives. When you join this year’s “Team Up for Pink”, 75% of net funds raised locally will stay in Colorado to provide breast health education, breast cancer screening and treatment programs. 25% of net funds raised will go towards national breast cancer research. The 5K run starts at 7.45 a.m. follows by 5K walk at 8:00 am, a Family Walk at 9:00 am and finishes at the Pepsi Center with a closing ceremony recognizing and remembering survivors/co-survivors.
