Your Joe Davis Play-by-Play
Born in Lansing, Michigan, Joe Davis lettered for four years as quarterback on the Beloit College football team.
During the off season, this two-time team captain honed his skills as an announcer for the school’s baseball and basketball teams.
Graduating in 2010, Joe quickly became a rising star in the world of broadcast journalism.
In 2012 Joe landed his first national television job as sports announcer for ESPN, and at age 25 he became the youngest person to ever call a bowl game.
By 2014, Joe was covering college football, basketball and Major League Baseball as a FOX Sports announcer.
A year later, he started calling games for Dodgers, taking over as their lead TV voice in 2017 following the retirement of the legendary Vin Scully.
When he’s not behind the mic or traveling for work, Joe can usually be found spending time with his wife Libby and their two children, cooking up mouth-watering meals in his backyard.
His love for the BBQ is no secret as he often features grilling videos on his Instagram page.
He also has his own grilling-focused segment “Cookin’ with Joe” on the Dodgers YouTube channel with more than 150k subscribers.
