• What type of projects do you do most in California and the Los Angeles area in particular?

Popular outdoor remodeling projects for Los Angeles homeowners include paver driveways, courtyards and patios (all built with earthquake-friendly pavers!), retaining walls, outdoor kitchens, drought-friendly artificial turf, fire pits, and more. • Are pergolas and/or System Decking™ available in Los Angeles?

  Product availability, including decking varies by region. Currently, System Decking™ is offered in California including Los Angeles. System Decking is also available in Washington, Oregon, Colorado, and parts of Texas. As of 2025, decking is not yet available in Arizona or in all of our Texas markets. Pergolas are offered in all locations, but selection and styles may vary.

• What should I expect when I set up a design consultation with my local Los Angeles outdoor remodeling expert?

  Your complimentary design consultation is a comprehensive in-person visit that takes approximately 60-90 minutes. During this time, your consultant will get to know you and what you’re looking for in your outdoor remodel, accurately measure your space, and help you select materials such as paver colors and shapes, add-on elements such as water features, fire pits, outdoor kitchen appliances, turf types, or whatever you need! Your consultant will also create a digital rendering of what your makeover will look like and come up with an accurate cost estimate for your L.A. home outdoor remodeling project. You’ll have a chance to ask questions, bring up any concerns and talk to your consultant about any specific needs or wishes you have for your outdoor renovation.

• Are your outdoor remodeling projects drought or wildfire resistant?

  California's semi-arid climate and continuous drought issues make water conservation and fire safety top priorities for Los Angeles homeowners. Paving stone remodels and artificial turf can be key components to create a safer, more drought-resistant yard. Fire-resistant landscaping practices include creating defensible spaces around homes from non-flammable materials such as paving stones. Meanwhile, switching your grass lawn to turf can reduce overall water consumption and dramatically decrease your water bills.

• My L.A. property is on a hillside. Does this mean I won't be able to remodel my space?

  Hillside properties are common in Los Angeles but that doesn't mean you can't maximize your yard's full potential! Our experts will use erosion control measures such as retaining walls and addressing drainage issues to ensure your outdoor remodel lasts for generations. By terracing your space or building elevated hangout areas through decking and thoughtfully-placed patios you can make the most of every square inch of your property.
