Making Pizza Outdoors For National Pizza Day

Published Date: Feb 3, 2019

Once a year, the entire nation pays tribute to its most coveted pie. Pizza pie, that is. Yep- you read that right, an ENTIRE day dedicated to eating pizza. If you think a whole day just to celebrate and eat pizza is a bit much, you might want to think again. Did you know that in the United States alone, at least 350 slices of pizza are consumed every second?! Clearly, people are serious about this whole pizza deal.

And this year, we’re jumping in on the craze and putting our own outdoor spin on this celebration with an authentically fun way to make your favorite pie. Instead of the traditional indoor oven baked pizza or take out, opt for inviting friends and family over to cook your pizzas on the BBQ grill or using your paver pizza oven!

Supply the dough and ask your guests to bring over their favorite toppings for everyone to share. Utilize space on the paver patio or the outdoor kitchen bar so everyone can enjoy building their pizzas together. Be sure to have a few bottles of wine and beer out for the adults and some sodas for the kids and get grilling with these easy, yet mouthwatering recipes:
