Great American Campout

At System Pavers, we love the great outdoors, whether it's a national treasure such as Yellowstone Park or your own backyard, which is why we're proud to help promote the Great American Campout. This June 27th, you can help the National Wildlife Federation by pledging to camp out, with sponsors of the event giving $1 for every camper who takes the Great American Campout pledge for a total of up to $100,000 to help support the NWF's efforts to protect the great outdoors of America. This event is a part of the NWF's ongoing Great Outdoors Month in June and is a fantastic way for anybody to get involved.
From those planning to bust out their camping skills at large public events to those planning smaller backyard events, anybody is welcome to join the Great American Campout. Those interested in hosting a public event can email the NWF at their site, while those simply interested in joining other campers in the Great American Campout can find more information about events in their area on the NWF website. Find information on the costs of attending, what you will need to bring, and other requirements on the site's listings.
Because this event is largely intended to help educate people on camping out and better understanding America's backyard, many of these events are tailored toward beginning campers, with some events available for first-time campers, including equipment rentals. Those who are interested should take the time to contact event organizers to learn more or to register for a wonderful, unforgettable evening.
Of course, not everybody has the time or means to take a large camping vacation, but if that's the case, don't despair – you can still join the thousands of other Americans who have taken the pledge to camp out by hosting a campout in your own backyard! A tent, a campfire or a grill, some snacks and other treats and a love of the great outdoors are all you need to make your backyard camping event special, whether you plan to camp out on your own, with a loved one or want to spark a love of camping in younger family members.
