Before & After: The Williams' Inviting New Front Yard
Published Date: Feb 27, 2025
Grant and Wendy Williams always loved their Riverside, California home. With its sprawling look and welcoming charm, it was the perfect place to host family and friends. But for years, it felt like something was missing. Their front entry lacked accessibility and over time their two driveways had become dated and riddled with cracks. There was no clear walkway to their front door, and what should have been an inviting space felt like it was lacking in curb appeal. That’s when they turned to System Pavers.
The Challenge: More Than Simply Curb Appeal
The Williams' front yard presented more than just an aesthetic challenge. It was a functional issue, too. Without a proper walkway leading to the front door, guests had to navigate an uneven path or step through the yard to reach their entry. Their crumbling driveway was not only an eyesore but also a hazard. The lack of a direct, seamless connection between spaces made it difficult to move around easily, especially when hosting gatherings.

When they called System Pavers and met their design consultant Evan Goldenberg, they knew they were in good hands. After speaking with the Williams and learning more about their needs, Evan realized this remodel was more than simply making the home look better. He was excited to help them create an entrance that transformed the way the Williams lived and entertained.
The Transformation: Thoughtful Design Meets Lasting Quality
From the very start, our team wanted this renovation to be both beautiful and highly functional. We began with a complete overhaul of the driveways, replacing worn out concrete with high-quality interlocking pavers. This created a seamless, easy-to-navigate surface that united both of their driveways. It was safer, more stylish, and added tons of the curb appeal that the Williams wanted. To enhance the flow and accessibility of the space, we also expanded the central walkway, elegantly connecting the driveways in a way that felt natural and grand.
One of the biggest challenges? The home didn’t have a direct entry point to the front door. The Williams had beautiful double front doors, but before remodeling, you wouldn’t have known it from the street. Our solution was to create a brand-new curved staircase leading from the street to the front patio. Now, the home boasts a stunning focal point that not only improves accessibility but also adds a sense of sophistication. A double-runner border was added between the yard and the street, ensuring that guests no longer had to step on gravel or dirt to reach the front door.

The transformation wasn’t without its surprises. At one point, we had to replace part of the home’s foundation to ensure structural integrity. But with more than 30 years of expertise in outdoor remodeling, our team was prepared for anything!

The Result: A Life-Changing Upgrade
Today, the Williams’ front yard is everything they had envisioned and more. Their home now offers a striking first impression, with a welcoming entryway that complements its architectural beauty. But beyond aesthetics, the upgrade has truly changed the way they live. Hosting friends and family has never been easier, thanks to the improved functionality and ease of access. As they get older, they know they’ll appreciate how simple getting in and out of their home is, and how the renovations have added a modern yet timeless look to their home that’s brimming with curb appeal.
