Love Animals? Meet Some Of The Adorable Pets On Our System Pavers Team!

Published Date: Feb 18, 2025

At System Pavers, we’re all about creating beautiful outdoor spaces, but it should come as no surprise that our team also has a BIG soft spot for the animal friends who make life better indoors and out! From playful pups and mischievous kitties to lazy senior pets snoozing by our desks, our corporate team’s furry (and sometimes scaly) family members keep us entertained, loved, and on our toes.

Over the last five years of working semi-remotely (thanks a lot, Covid), we’ve gotten to know many of our coworkers’ pets as they pop in and out of screens or we hear them barking in the background. When we learned National Love Your Pet Day was in February, we knew we had to do something to celebrate.

So, we decided to share these adorable faces with you, our System Pavers community. We asked a few team members to send in pics of their pets. And they did not disappoint! Gear up for an onslaught of cuteness overload as we introduce you to the real VIPs (Very Important Pets) of System Pavers.

Meet our System Pavers Pet Teammates!

Frank the little dog cruising around in his car

First up...meet your tour guide, Frank! Adopted around the age of two, Frank is now 16 and lives in Arizona with Cassi, our Chief Marketing Officer. He'll do anything for his favorite treat - carrots - and he's absolutely obsessed with watching and chasing lizards. Every once in a while, you'll even catch Frank hanging out with his cousin Bandit, a German Shepherd "lap dog" who lives with Cassi's family in California.

Our most dapper pet award goes to Cooper, who lives with Brent, our Chief Growth Officer. At five years old, Cooper is a big fan of going to the dog park...with one caveat. He only plays with humans while he's there!

Frank's especially excited to introduce one of the newer additions to our team, Wally! This nine-year-old corgi and dachshund mix spent THREE years at the animal shelter until being recently adopted by our Chief Talent Officer Ross and his family. He quickly made himself at home and now enjoys hobbies such as showing the other people and animals in the house who's boss. Most days you can find him sitting in Ross's office chair...judging.

One of our favorite pairs are the cuddle pile known as Toby and Tyrion. These distinguished gentlemen live with our Director of Marketing, Jade, and spend most of their time watching Jade crunch numbers as they lounge the day away. As the smaller of the two, Toby prefers to stay cozy by sleeping right on top of big brother Tyrion.

On the slightly more youthful side, we have another dynamic dog duo - Daisy and Wayne - who live with our Events Marketing Manager, Lindsey. Wayne is the baby on our team and quickly managed to melt all our hearts despite only being on this planet for a few months.

Down in Houston we have another furry favorite - Pearl! We often spot her wagging tail behind the screen as Hillary, our Director of Performance Marketing, gets work done. A big fan of car rides, walks, and going to the beach, 4-year-old Pearl loves showing off her stuffed animals to anyone who may want to play.

Another common sighting during Teams call is our Graphic Designer Emeree's "favorite child" Louie the Frenchie. Usually seen napping in the background, Louie loves treats, going for walks, and can't stand the vacuum cleaner. He does have one toxic trait (Big Dog Energy In A Little Dog Body) but with that face, none of us mind in the slightest.

The absolute newest addition to our team is our Marketing Assistant Javier's beagle. A rescue pup who was recently adopted into Javier's growing family, Mino has been a welcome new face (and wagging tail) during Marketing and Creative team meetings.

But before you start thinking System Pavers are strictly dog lovers, we do have quite a few other pets on our team. Such as dogs who live with other pets! One of our most popular dog duos Mac and Mila were adopted by our Lead Designer Taylor and visit the System Pavers headquarters often. While Mac has never met a stranger, Mila can be a little shy and overprotective of her big brother. However, it's their cold-blooded sibling Duncan who literally comes out of his shell when he visits. As a Russian Tortoise who's incredibly friendly, Duncan has earned the honor of being our Marketing Team mascot and is a fav around the office. He's even made an appearance on our social media.

If you're more of a cat person, no worries! We have plenty of kitties in the System Pavers family. Lindy is a petite calico who lives with Krista, our Growth Marketing Manager. At a mere 6 pounds, 12-year-old Lindy is adept at rousing the household for the day. She'll open the shutters way before it's time to wake up and enjoys playing fetch with her toy mice.

Another beautiful calico cat on our team is Azula. Sister to Zuko, these two lucky siblings live with our Lead Content Producer, John. Black cat Zuko especially loves making an appearance during Teams meetings but isn't afraid to share the spotlight with his sister if she feels like dropping by.

And if two cats aren't enough, we have at least one three cat household (and a dog to maximize chaos) as well. All three of our copywriter Leah's cats - Irma, Yuyu, and Bing Bong - enjoy interrupting Teams meetings and doing their best to work typos into ads. Blue-eyed Irma and polydactyl Yuyu are senior kitties who rule the household while 5-year-old Bing Bong prefers to cause mayhem with his 5-year-old canine partner in crime Ozzy.

As we wrap up our list, we have two more pets that deserve some recognition. One is the dream pet our Software Development Manager Chuong would love to get (but can't due to family allergies). Proof that you can be a pet lover even without a home full of fur, if Chuong could have one pet....this cutie would be it.

And in memory of a pup we'd give anything to see one more time during our Teams meetings - Bella. Before she passed away at 14 years of age, Bella was Jen, our Director of System Pavers University's soulmate dog. As a loyal +1 during every virtual meeting, Bella would lay at Jen's feet throughout the workday and once got bit by a rattlesnake while protecting her. Bella's special powers included being able to hear a banana (her favorite treat) being peeled from across the house.

Why We Love Our Pets

We hope you enjoyed meeting our pets as much as we enjoy sharing them. Whether they’re keeping our feet warm during Teams calls, making us laugh with their antics, or reminding us to take breaks for belly rubs and playtime, the pets of System Pavers bring us endless joy. They inspire us to create outdoor spaces that aren’t just beautiful but also pet-friendly—because every backyard should have room for zoomies, sunbathing, and lazy afternoon naps. And, in case you were wondering…yes, the artificial turf we install is non-toxic, made without “forever chemicals” and specifically designed to be safe for people and pets!

We love celebrating our wild and wonderful coworkers, and we know many of the homeowners we work with do too. Do you have a pet who loves hanging out in your outdoor space? Share a picture with us by tagging it on social media using #SystemPaversPets!
