While moments may be fleeting, memories are forever. With 2014 coming to a close and the holiday season ending, it is always wonderful to look back on the special moments spent together with friends and family. From holidays to birthdays to a simple night at home, we all have special memories from 2014.
While we can all get caught up in the day-to-day hustle and bustle of everyday life it can sometimes difficult to take time to make lasting and meaningful memories of times spent together. However, you might be surprised when you think back over the year on the number of events you remember.
Maybe you recall a fun and enjoyable pool party that you hosted, along with the laughter and glee from the kids playing games on your SP Turf® artificial grass. Or maybe your memories include sitting outdoors with a memorable book, a glass of wine and a beautiful roaring fire or a memory of a night spent with friends and family creating a delicious meal in your outdoor kitchen. Whatever your memories may be of the past year we are thankful to be a part of them.
Some tips on creating memories in 2015 –
In 2014, we enjoyed hearing from our friends about weddings or special events held in their backyard! Whatever the memory may be it is always enjoyable to think back on a wonderful year and remember. And it is so important to take the time to be together. Enjoying time in your outdoor living space is a great way to make memories to last a lifetime.
- With the kitchen being the hub of the home and making memories, take some time to take it outside. Create your meal in your outdoor kitchen, have a picnic, enjoy a wonderful meal with family and friends that you love. For an even more memorable experience, get your family involved in the cooking itself. You’ll be surprised by how much unexpected fun you’ll have creating a meal together.
- Pull out that bottle of wine and invite some neighbors over to have a glass. Sit outside under the stars and share memories from past get-togethers. Maybe roast some marshmallows, or simply snuggle up next to your outdoor fireplace.
- Enjoy time with the children in your life. Play a game of tag or hide-and-seek. Push them on a swing and remember a time from your childhood when life was carefree and joyful. Don’t forget to get the pets involved in the fun!
