Salad Sizzle

Salad Kabob

Skewer romaine heart, a chunk of bread and a cooked piece of chicken breast. Grill it, drizzle with Caesar dressing, sprinkle on some parmesan and dig in!

Wine Pairing

A light meal calls for a light wine. Choose a crisp Chardonnay, fruity Pinot Noir or a bright Sauvignon Blanc for the perfect salad accompaniment

Mushroom Magic

Portobello Party

Vegetarians and meat eaters alike can enjoy a thick, grilled portobello burger. Simply brush mushrooms with balsamic vinaigrette, grill, then top with red onions and fresh mozzarella. Delish! 

Wine Pairing

With subtle tannins and light acidity, a delicate Pinot Noir is an excellent complement to the complexity of a juicy mushroom burger.

Plums, Peaches and Pears

Remove pit, cut into wedges. Grill until marks appear. Enjoy with pork chops, in salads or as a light side.


Remove peels, dip in butter, coat with brown sugar, then wrap in foil and grill. Add ice cream and whipped cream for an extra fancy banana split.

Wine Pairing

Whether you're grilling fruit as a side or as dessert, uncork a bone-dry Rose to make those tastebuds sing. 

SP's Grilling Recommendations:

  • Keep your grill grate clean to prevent sticking.  
  • Preheat grill before putting food on it.
  • Trim excess fat and avoid flare-ups by moving meat to a different part of the grill when you turn it.
  • Use a grill basket for foods that can easily fall through the grates.
  • Oil your meat, not the grill.
  • Spice up your food a good hour before you start grilling to let flavor sink in.
  • Use sauces and marinades towards the end of the cooking time.
  • Remember to let your meat rest (use foil to keep warm) before carving.
