Sep 28 2017

Southern California has a lot to offer any prospecting homeowner. From a booming economy to being known as the startup capital of the world, its cities and counties host some of the most sought-after real estate money can buy. Finding the perfect place to call ‘home’ takes not only finding the right house, but finding the right neighborhood, job, schools for the kids and many other factors. Understanding what makes a specific area the right fit for you and your family takes a good investment of time in research, but in the end, once you find the perfect place to call home, you’ll be glad you planned ahead.

New Housing Developments in Southern California

There are numerous areas in the SoCal region with developments on the rise, so new homes are plentiful in areas such as Irvine, Mission Viejo, San Diego, Temecula, Corona, and inland Los Angeles. Each of these cities offers a unique lifestyle and are all richly diverse in culture.

Irvine is a newer suburb nestled in the heart of Orange County and boasts a moderate commute to major business parks, and is well known for its beautiful family-oriented neighborhoods.

Mission Viejo is also located in the rolling hills of Orange County’s Saddleback Valley region. Considered to be one of the largest master-planned communities ever built, Mission Viejo features a laid-back way of life with its many parks, recreation areas, hiking and biking trails, and countless dog parks. This might come as a surprise to some, considering Mission Viejo’s gracious population of 96,000 plus.

San Diego is considered to be one of the most famous cities along the Pacific Coast. A world unto its own, San Diego is home to endless beaches, water activities including snorkeling, kayaking, and paddleboarding, the world-famous San Diego Zoo, and is known for its rich culture and beautiful ocean landscape.

Temecula is located in Riverside County and is known for its year-round warm temperatures, world-renowned vineyard tours, Casino Resorts, and country club style living. This region is nestled in between Corona and San Diego, making is easily accessible from most major cities in Southern California.

Corona, also located in Riverside County, is known for its gorgeous mountain views, heavy BMX/Motocross influence, being the home of Monster Energy Drinks, and for its growing economy. Beautiful valleys, neighborhoods and endless biking/riding tracks can be found in every area of this Southern California region.

Los Angeles is, to many, the heart of Southern California. It is the soul of the movie and entertainment industry of the United States. It boasts a cultural melting pot with its diverse citizenship and international influences.

The Benefits of Becoming a Californian

Being a Californian means joining the driving force behind the states vastly growing economy. Currently, California ranks eighth in the world. In addition to being a part of this financial powerhouse of a state, you will have access to the most diversified geographical regions in all of America. Only in Southern California can you hit the beach for an early morning surf session and find yourself snowboarding at a local ski resort by mid-afternoon. With so much economic stability, many new housing communities and some of the best weather in the world, you and your family are sure to build the life of your dreams in Southern California.

The Benefits of Owning Over Renting

Now, when it comes to finding the perfect house in one of these beautiful Southern California locales, or anywhere else for that matter, the question of, “to rent or to own?”, is always top of mind. And while renting may seem like a good choice for some, there are genuinely a great many more benefits to owning.

When you own your home, you can mold into anything your heart desires, including turning it into your dream home. Renting, on the other hand, leaves you optionless. As a renter, you rarely even control the decision of which carpet gets installed in your home, let alone making any large-scale remodel upgrades. When you own, you have the freedom to remodel and install additions. Owning also gives you leeway to create an outdoor living space where one did not exist before, which will also allow you to take advantage of one of the best things about Southern California, its beautiful weather.

From installing a synthetic lawn and eliminating lawn care to installing a fire pit or BBQ island for social gatherings and late night get-togethers, owning a home in Southern California the perfect choice for those who love great weather year-round, rich cultural locales, and a thriving economy.
